Tour Map with Address Directory

Alternative and creative. Site must be viewed at 1024 X 1168 resolution.
The city of Toronto is known in Canada, for it's artists and galleries. Our designer, elle A, loves to visit Toronto to engage in weekend long gallery tours. We put this map together with elle A's help.
Our map shows the location of twenty plus galleries in the Studio District of Toronto. The red dots represent the gallery's location and the address is revealed when your mouse cursor touches the red dot.
This type of map is very suitable for a website which needs to show a number of locations in a fairly small neighborhood. It would be easy to adapt the map to show your business' location in your neighborhood.
A map is a good thing to put in the contact section of your website. Customers, who can see where you are located, will feel more comfortable about coming to your retail outlet or office, because you have shown the care to ensure that they do not become lost in the process of visiting you. Driving instructions are also good to include, for obvious reasons.

Here are a few ideas we put together for useful map usage:
  • Maps are very useful when used on sites for realty, property management and property rental companies to pinpoint the location of the properties being sold or rented.
  • On a tour site, a map is an excellent basis to design with.
  • A zoo would find a map very useful.
  • A university, college and other institutions of learning need a map.
  • Large public buildings such as museums, galleries and government offices would profit from using a map
  • Shopping malls definitely need a map of both their location and the layout of the building so that stores can be easily located.
