Graphic Mouseover Menus

Working from photographs, art work and drawings, graphic menus allow you to create a very unique image for your website, Your photograph can be cut up in Adobe Photoshop, and text applied to it.

Your text link is then duplicated and a contrasting mouse over text link is created. Once completed you have links which switch the image back and forth when the cursor comes in contact with the link.

The technical part using HTML and JavaScript, is actually pretty easy to achieve. The inspirational part for us, is also easy. Here are some ideas for you to bounce around:

  • ABC renovation Company has a menu which appears to be spray painted on a brick wall. When the mouse comes in contact with the sprayed text it turns into a window.
  • XYZ Gardening Center's menu is a beautiful Bougainvillea plant with the menu titles interspersed through out the plant's foliage. When the mouse cursor touches the title, a flower bloom explodes behind the title.
  • OUR Day Care Center's menu graphics show a circle of children playing. They are photographed or drawn with backs to the viewer. Text is overlaid onto the image. When the mouse cursor touches one of the titles, the child will appear turned around, facing the camera, smiling, laughing and jumping joyously.
