Artist's Notes: I started to become fascinated with Myths and Legends. This painting depicts a soul who has crossed the River Styx and is emerging on the other side. The soul has traversed the almost insurmountable journey through the underworld and is accosted by the contrast of both the etherial state and the purgatorial state.
