    Smiths Falls & District Club for Youth
    is a non-profit organization offering structured educational programs and activities for youth, with the purpose of developing life skills, employment skills, leadership abilities, and good citizenship.

    Smiths Falls & District Club for Youth accomplishes these objectives within a fun and safe environment where youth actively participate in key organizational decision-making with adult mentors and supervision.

    The Safe Communities Foundation has since become the forum in which this message would be communicated. This non-profit organization, that is funded by corporate sponsors, is in place to help communities form committees that establish their own health and safety organization. The main purpose is to promote a safe environment, be it at work, at home or at play.

    Officially launched in September 1997, the committee has a part-time coordinator who can be reached through the Smiths Falls Town Hall.

    Who Can Join?

    Any female of 18 years-of-age or older of good reputation and character can join. Anyone wishing to join must be approved by the club.

    What are the Responsibilites of Membership

    Civinettes are people who want to improve themselves and their community. Members should attend meetings regularly and make themselves known to other members and to take an active role in club projects.

    All work, no! Fulfilment, Yes! An important ingredient in all Civinette Clubs is a strong comitment to working together.

    The Smiths Falls/Montague Airport is operated by the Smiths Falls Flying Club. It offers one hard surface runway which is 4000' long east-west. This runway is equipped with lighting on both 06 and 24, ARCAL-122.9 type K. The airport and airspace is uncontrolled and communication is broadcast to Smiths Falls traffic on 122.7.
