The example above shows the three layers of text positioned to the best coordinates to allow the eye to percieve the text as one three dimensional unit. Shadows and highlights fall along side of the letters, harmoniously. The example below reveals the layers, not so closely spaced and thus the three separate entries can be read by the eye as distinct entities.
As we are addressing the concept of dHTML, this might be a good time to introduce another text effect which we call pulsating text, as seen below. This effect makes use of IE's multimedia filters, coupled with scripting, to render an "aura" around any given text. Note that you can only have one of such text per page, due to the way the script programming is constructed. Font type, color, and size can be configured to individual taste. The glowing aura can also be configured to a different color and a larger or smaller range of glow.
